Assembling archival contributions and newly commissioned work from artists, writers, photographers and poets to explore the archive as a process of recording collective memories, and to exalt the traditions of Black poetry, literature and portrait photography, Grace Wales Bonner has curated the 22nd issue of A Magazine Curated By. Envisioned by her, the magazine becomes a rhythmic and intellectual space underlined with a magical spirit.
The magazine comprises 200 pages and each copy includes a limited edition print edition by photographer Samuel Fosso. Published October 15, 2021.
